Football strategy in your browser: build your club, collect fictional athletes and develop their careers.

A fictional football universe with its own identity. PvP matches are simulations between clubs; they do not involve real-time athlete control.

Problem

Bring athlete collection, squad building and career development together in a browser-based football game, with tactical decisions that influence matches.

Solution

Players create a club, acquire athletes and support cards and develop turn-based careers through training, events and skills. They organize 5-a-side or 11-a-side lineups, choose a captain and tactics and face game teams in the PvE campaign or other clubs in simulated PvP matches. The API calculates matches, and the browser plays back the results with Phaser. Names, artwork, interface, narrative and rules have their own identity.

Key features

My role

Built alone from concept to publication with AI tooling support: product, frontend, API, database, match simulation engine, career progression, skills, athlete artwork and infrastructure.

Tech stack

Technical challenges

Calculating matches in the API and playing them back with Phaser, calibrating tactics and skills, connecting training and progression to careers and preventing duplicate matches and rewards. Administration includes change auditing and access control.

Current status

Published at sakkamusuko.com, with a landing page and game accessible in the browser. Development continues, with automated tests, type checking and builds in CI, and frontend deployment to Firebase Hosting through GitHub Actions.
